It's official....we have a princess in the house!

Paige got a box from Aunt Marcella and family this week....it had a princess crown, earrings, and a big ring in it! Wow....I think Paige likes to be the princess! She also got a 'sleeping beauty' doll that sings when a button is pushed and a new holiday dress (you'll have to watch for pictures of that in upcoming posts). What a fun box she got - thanks Aunt Marcella and family!

Her new pretty 'sleeping beauty' doll....

Paige turns 2!

Paige is now 2 years old...my how time flies when we are chasing a little girl! She is 25 pounds and 32 inches tall (vs 7 pounds 4 oz and 20 1/2 inches when she was born). She is talking a lot, cutting her two year molars, climbing, running, jumping, and in love with Elmo.

We had a small birthday party for her on Saturday, here are some pictures of the big day.....but first Paige had to help dad rake leaves in the yard while mommy ran some last minute errands. Paige loves to help in the yard.

I got Paige some birthday balloons, which she LOVED...

Time for friends and family to come over....it wasn't too cold, so the kid's wanted to run around outside while the pizza's cooked.
Time for pizza....
Then it was time to open presents..Paige really got into it this year...

Piage liked her new chair, hat/gloves, baby stroller, cell phone, and all the babies to push aroudn in the stroller....

Time for birthday cake!

Pumpkin Patch

Paige and I went to Linder Farms to pick pumpkins, ride the ponies, pet and feed the animals, and have some fall fun! Bridgette was able to meet us there too, so the little girls had a good time on the chilly fall day (actually it wasn't too cold, but I like it 70+).

Paige riding the pony.

Time for a 'cow train' ride...the barrels are painted to look like cows and pulled behind a driving lawn mower...clever.

Paige going through the hay bale maze.
Bridgette and Paige stuck in the maze.

Paige finds a great big pumpkin in the maze.

Paige helps me find some pumpkins out in the pumpkin patch...she found four just her size!

Seeing Scarecrows

Paige and I went with her friend, Bridgette (and her mom, Christine), to the Idaho Botanical Gardens to see the fall scarecrows. The original intent was for the kid's to get see the scarecrows and wear their Halloween costumes, but it was too warm (almost 70) for Paige to wear hers (it's a warm full body suit...I won't give it away just yet!)....this is why Bridgette is dressed as a bee. It was a beautiful day and there was only one other small group of people there that day, so we were able to run, jump, and climb everywhere!

Bridgette and Paige look for fish in the pond.

Here they are looking from the bridge.

They get to see the scarecrows up close!

On a big wooden swing.

This is a bronze statue of Sacajawea, I had seen it on the map and was determined to find it...it is all the way up (especially when you have short legs!) a windy path in the foot hills, but we finally found it. The girl's liked checking out the statue.

Then we sat and took a break and had a drink of water. I forgot to take a picture looking down at the valley, as you have a pretty good view from here.

Passing time on the potty...

Paige has been practicing to use the potty in the mornings and before bed. We pass some of the time singing songs (yeah I know ...the crazy things parent's do!), she loves to sing 'itsy-bitsy spider' and do the hand gestures with it.....even daddy gets into it!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

We went to San Jose for a friend's parent's 50th wedding anniversary celebration. We got there a day early and drove down to Monterey to check out the Monterey Bay Aquarium....it was pretty cool! We got to see Penguins, Sea Otters, lots of different kinds of fish, and sharks to name a few of the things. Paige had a blast walking around looking at everything and she even got to touch some sea stars and crabs in the touch pool, she tried to touch a Bat Sting Ray, but she was not able to get her arms deep enough in the touch pool.

A Bat String Ray.

"Look....there it is!"

Paige putting her hands in the water...she wanted to touch one of those big sting rays!
