Snow much fun!

It snowed about 3-4 inches here today, so we went outside to try out Paige's sled! She was so excited to take a ride in it!

Kurt pulls her through the back yard...and she loved it!

Then she had to go check out her playhouse, which was covered with snow outside and inside it! Now it's time to go back in the house and get warm again!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning we always open our family gifts (since we do Christmas Eve with the entire family). So first thing in the morning, we went into the living room and Paige found a Dora the Explorer (people with little kids will know who this is) tent with a tunnel attached...Paige was pretty excited and climbed right into it!

And a fun new light-up snow globe from Uncle Cade, Aunt Chelsae and my cousins!

Paige helps me hang her new ornament on the Christmas tree.

I did not get pictures of all of the things Paige got, but she got a few things from us and from Aunt Marcella & family she got a box of dress-up clothes/shoes/jewelry....uh la la! And one unplanned gift...

THE $100 TEDDY BEAR.....

Paige had come down with a cold a few days ago and she just kept getting worse and worse, so we ended up having to take her to the ER (we called around and drove to some urgent care places, but no one was open). They were really nice and gave Paige this teddy bear while we waited, which was only about 10-15 minutes. As I had thought, her cold had turned into an ear infection and pink eye, so they gave us a prescription. Not how we envisioned ending our Christmas and we headed home to take care of Paige - no family visits or trips for us this week.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve the rest of the family came over to our house for dinner and gifts. It has snowed here, so some of the kid's went out back to have a snowball fight...

Kylie, Theron, and Justin throwing snowballs....looks like Justin is being ambushed!

Paige wears cousin Ashley's reindeer antlers while riding her horse.

A family friendly (ok... well maybe it's slightly competitive) game of Apples to Apples.

After dinner everyone takes a place to sit in the family room, as it's time to hand out gifts.

Paige even helped hand out the gifts...

After we opened gifts, it was time to play with some of the new toys...

Brenda showing off a new BSU plate.

Theron wearing his Santa hat.

Paige trying to get away with Ashley and Chris's new toy! But they did not let her get far.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Last Saturday we finally brought the Christmas tree inside to decorate it. We put it in the office again, Kurt likes it there as it is the only window facing out in the front of the house.

Paige is good at helping to hang the ornaments..

Gingerbread houses....

Last week Shelly and Jace came over to make Gingerbread houses...this was a first for us all! Kurt was home so he was in charge of picture taking for us!

Shelly and I get the icing ready...the kid's look thrilled with this activity, don't they!

Jace and Paige are ready to decorate!

This is precision decorating...

And the final products...not too bad for our first attempt at this!

Decorating cookies

Since it was snowy out....what better than to make and decorate some cookies! While Paige napped I baked cookies (and no not the kind you buy at the store..these were home made... a big shock I know!) and when she got up we did some decorating. She had fun and at first decorated one sprinkle at a time...soon she began dumping the whole spoon full on each cookie. After dinner Paige got to try a cookie...I think she likes them!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

We woke up yesterday to about an inch of snow...so when it was time for Kurt to go shovel, guess who went with him? Yes, Paige was so excited to shovel (which she can do with her little rake, just turn it upside down and it collects snow as you push it!).....and I was on the hunt for some snow boots for her (I had not gotten any yet this year, but by end of day found some). Here are some pictures of the little snow bunny!

What a pony??

Last night I went out with some friends for our annual holiday shopping and dinner night and found this when I arrived home.... a little rocking pony!

Kurt had met some friend's for a few frosty beverages and came home with this rocking pony and a little 4 wheeler. Our friend's the Roberson's (who have 2 older girls) were done with the pony and 4 wheeler, they were passing these on to little Parker Cegnar, but since he is only a couple of months, Paige gets to use them until he is big enough! Talk about cool for her! Well she loved riding the pony and even let all her dolls and other animals ride it too!

Who likes Elmo?

Well Paige really likes Elmo...it may be an near love thing. Last weekend Sesame Street Live "Elmo makes music" was in town, so we got tickets to go. We had not taken Paige to a show before, but thought that she would really like it...and she did. She was so excited, so clappeed, danced and sang..it was cute. We were not allowed to take my camera in, so I have only pictures of her with the CD we bought.

Family Photos

We had family photos and Paige's 2 year photos done in October.
