A bike race....

...in the garage! What is a kid to do when it's cold out and both of you parent's have been sick? Well go into the garage and do about 50 laps around! It is the best winter/we can't go outside fun! Paige gets her shoes, jacket, mittens, and hat on to go out and ride her bike....she can now easily reach the pedals (in fact we had to move the seat back on setting!) and is getting very good at racing around on her bike! We still have the parent handle on her bike...but based on how well she is riding, we can probably take it off!

Here she comes!

Stopping to say hi to mom!

Doing some inventory of items in the garage...oh these are chalks for drawing outside...need to wait until it gets warmer.

...the race is on ...not sure if you can see very good, but she has a red ball in the back basket of her bike!

And every racer knows that once in a while you need to pump up your tires!

First Movie at the Theater!

Today we took Paige to her first movie at the Theater...the Princess and the Frog. I went over the 'rules' of how we behave at the movie theater and she knew them and assured us that she would be on her best behavior (and tell us if she needed to go to the bathroom! my fear of having a potty accident in the theater). She did great! We got a bag of popcorn and she settled right in, sitting in the big theater chair. Her eyes were so big as she watched the movie! She really liked it and told me when it was over that is was not even scary (it really isn't except for some 'ghost'/voodoo guys)...and we had no potty accident's! She had so much fun! I bet she'll be bugging us to go to another movie soon!

"Show" day at Little Gym!

This week at Paige's gymnastics class was 'show week' where the kid's show the parents all skills they have learned during the last session. About two months ago Paige moved to the 'Funny Bugs' class, this is a gymnastics class similar to the one she had been doing, except it is for the kid's only (the parents watch from the lobby)...she really liked getting to go to this 'big girl' class and the parent's are just watching. She has learned a lot..and pays attention (as much as most 3 year olds) to the teacher and enjoys the gymnastics class each week.

So proud of herself!

Reading with Papa

Paige went out to Grammie and Papa's house. She loves to read the Tractor book with Papa. She came home with several drawings and crafts! Then she and I put them up on the door to her toy closet. She had a lot of fun with Grammie and Papa!

New Year's in North Powder!

At the end of December we took our annual trip to North Powder, which initially started several years ago as a New Year's trip....well now we get to ring in the New Year with great friend's (the Dalton's, who host us all, the Alonso's, the Bateman's and us) and celebrate Ashlyn Dalton's birthday! Paige was very excited to go to Ashlyn's birthday party and play with all her friend's!

Doug and Ashlyn....ready to open gifts!

Paige, Taylor, and Jace watch as Ashlyn opens her gifts.

Taylor gives a baby doll a bath...Paige distracted by some of Ashlyn's new toys.

Up in the play room...Paige has an apron on and is ready to whip up some yummy food!

One morning we went out looking for a good sledding hill....all the kid's were bundled up and excited to play in the snow. Shane, Jace, and Paige (what a load!!) are ready for some sledding!

All the kiddo's! Taylor and Ashlyn. Shane, Jace, and Paige. We all had so much fun (well the kid's had the most fun!) and the parent's got some exercise pulling the sleds and kid's up the hill (which was not terribly steep, but with 2 kids on each sled, any slope is a challenge!). As expected we had a fun time ringing in the New Year and celebrating Ashlyn's birthday with a lot of laughs and giggles!
