I love Chocolate.....

A couple of weekends ago we went to the nursery to look for a few shrubs or trees for our back yard. Paige says, I know....let's get a chocolate tree (yes from Dora the Explorer)! And we sort of laugh and say 'well you look for one here' and then we shrug it off. Last night her and I are sharing a bit of a chocolate chip cookie and the discussion starts....

P: I really want a little chocolate tree planted in the back yard. In the dirt hole back there.
Me: What do you think will grow on a chocolate tree? M&M's? Chocolate chip cookies?
P: Yes. Then when you are busy working I can go out there and get some yummy chocolate. It will need just a little bit of water too. Mom, I really want one.
Me: Well, that sounds yummy. I have not ever seen a chocolate tree.
P: I have, Dora has one. Can we get one?

....oh the things little ones do that make us laugh!

Three and a half....

Paige is 3 1/2 now....boy how time flies when you are running, jumping, playing, and giggling with a toddler! She is really the highlight of each and every one of our days. She is learning her letters and can recognize almost all of them, can write a few letters, starting to sound out 3 letter words, counts and recognizes numbers, loves to sing, likes doing puzzles (especially on my i-phone) and it generally a happy and talkative girl (she talks to nearly everyone we see...genetic I am sure!).

Bath time bubbles!!

Paige loves to do bubbles during bath time (secretly that is my trick to keep the bubbles from the rest of the house!) so I finally remembered to take some pictures of her!

Daddy blows lots of bubbles....
Paige tries to pop the bubbles....

Oh...here comes one!

Chuck E Cheese...

Paige was SO excited that Theron's b-day was going to be at Chuck E Cheese's (as she had seen commercials and asked to go there, but we had never been)!!
She loved this horse ride and did it about 4 times!
No visit to Chuck E Cheese is complete without a picture with the big mouse!
Ready to sing to Theron!
Yummmmmyyyyyy chocolate cake!!!!
Yeah...what a fun party!

Special gift....

Kurt's Aunt Glenda and Uncle Ellis were here last month. We were able to see them a few times during their visit and Paige was of course a center of attention (typical, as she likes to talk and is usually pretty entertaining). She also likes princesses and dressing up. A couple of weeks after they were here Paige got a package in the mail with a nice note and this beautiful bracelet!! Aunt Glenda had it made by someone she works with ...Paige just loves it!

Easter Eggs!

On Easter, it was cold and rainy...so we skipped the egg hunt in the park near our subdivision and opted for an egg hunt at Grandma Porter's after Easter dinner. Paige and Braydon (great nephew) were very excited to hunt egg's (and Kylie, niece, was kind enough to hide them for me!).

Braydon searching for more eggs for his basket!

Look at this big egg mom!

Time to open the eggs!

Hooray there is chocolate in my egg!!
