Pool Party!

Cooling off at pool party at George and Terri's house.... I was fun as the Dalton's (from North Powder, Oregon) and Bateman's came. The kids all had a great time swimming and then playing on the swing set, I think it wore them all out!

I had to crop this (hey I know my girlfriends don't want to be on the web in swim suits!), but really there were other adults around and in the pool...all the kids loved the water!

Swimmimg lessons

Paige has been taking swimming lessons and is doing really well. She likes her teacher, Mrs Stephanie, and is learning to float on her back, put her face and head under the water, kick and paddle. She looks forward to her lessons in the water!

Oregon Coast trip

In early August we went to the Oregon Coast for a few days….. doing a loop from Meridian to Portland down the coast to Newport and back through Bend and finally home to Meridian. We visited the Portland Zoo, the Tillamook Cheese Factory, Lincoln City and the beach, Newport and the beach, the Newport Aquarium, and Bend. We had fun exploring the beach with Paige (it was her first time to the beach) and just site seeing.

Getting a BIG girl bed!

Paige has been doing so well with potty training and being a 'big girl' that we decided that she was ready for a 'BIG girl' bed! Her crib converts to a full size bed frame, but I had to order a few parts for it, she was so excited about a big bed that we got the mattress and put it on the floor. I left the crib in her room just in case she did not do well in the bed....she has done just great In fact she had no issues moving to a big bed! In fact we took the crib apart this weekend, since we needed to do that anyway once the other bed frame parts come in.

Now we can lay on her bed and read stories at bed time!

Potty training.....

We continue the potty training and Paige has been doing great! We now take the potty chair with us nearly everywhere (into the family room, out in the garage while we work in the yard, and have been known to take it with BBQ's at friend's houses....)! Paige is wearing diapers only at sleep time and at home she wears underpants, which she is very proud of!




We were getting some puzzles out one day after she went potty and got herself dressed..when I noticed her shorts were on backwards...I thought is was pretty cute! She was so proud that she got all dressed....

A trip to North Powder.....

In mid-July we took a trip to North Powder, Oregon (just outside Baker City) for a friend's birthday party...Taylor was turning 3! We had a fun day playing outside, running in the sprinklers, and celebrating.
